My Services
I support individuals through stress, parental burnout, low mood, anxiety and panic, perfectionism, life transitions, betrayal, trauma and assault, and loss.
I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety. CBT sessions for mood issues are best done weekly over a period of 8-12 sessions and involve homework in between sessions. If you are wondering if CBT is a fit for you, please book an initial session to discuss.
Individual sessions are 60 minutes in length.
I support women and their partners through the perinatal phase - through the worries and mood issues that can arise during pregnancies, as well as during the transition into motherhood and the postpartum phase . With client consent, I use the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and other self-report measures to screen my clients in order to ensure challenging symptoms are not missed and I use a blend of evidenced-based and well researched strategies to help clients feel less overwhelmed. I am familiar with treating postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and postpartum PTSD.

Postpartum Planning Intensive
This is a 2-hour couples session intensive which will help you and your partner create a plan for the first 4-6 weeks after the baby arrives. We cover shared roles, maternal sleep protection, feeding preferences, community and kin support, boundaries, visitors, and nutrition. We also look at signs and symptoms of PPD/PPA. This is guarded and guided time where we make decisions ahead of time so you can thrive, not just survive, the postpartum period.
I provide supportive counselling to couples who are in the early parenthood stage of life. At this stage of life, we are often struggling with parental burnout, juggling multiple roles, and feeling disconnected. Many of my clients say "it feels like we are roommates" or "were just ships passing in the night". Using emotion-focused couples counselling, I would be happy to partner with a couple to help them work through this stage, connect on a deeper level, open up more heartfelt conversations and negotiate roles and time for self, all while in the presence of a supportive, non-judgemental therapist. I also work with couples who have just had a baby or multiples. I can support open communication, role disputes, nighttime expectations, and life after having children.
